Kitchen Renovation Progress - Red Hill
This Kitchen Is Taking Shape
A client that we'd previously worked with asked us to come in help with the renovations of her Red Hill property. We came in at a stage that allowed us to be involved in the design and layout which meant that we could make suggestions at an early stage about where the kitchen would be located. In this case the client took our recommendations into consideration and ultimately this resulted in the kitchen being moved from its original position in the architects drawings.
The benefit being that we could add a butler's pantry and help create not only a more functional kitchen, but also a more open and free flowing living space in the place where the kitchen was originally located.
This a good example of talking to your kitchen designer early in the process, as changes can impact other components of the design, build, council permits, etc.
The kitchen is now well and truly taking shape. In the following images you can see the steel reinforcement that has been installed beneath the Caesar Stone benchtop. This adds support beneath the benchtop overhang, which is greater than 300mm. This is a step that some kitchen companies neglect, but there is a risk of damage to the benchtop without it. In our view, not worth the risk!
We look forward to showing you more as this kitchen develops. Stay tuned!
